I am pleased to announce that yesterday’s opening of schools was a tremendous success. An estimated 1,600 students and 250 staff members returned to an even stronger academic program, improved technology, and a supportive learning environment.

There is a commitment to provide the children of Hastings with the promise of an outstanding educational experience to serve as an academic foundation for their future pursuits, goals, and dreams. We will ensure that we meet community expectations for excellence, embrace the District’s philosophy of education, and advance initiatives of the Strategic Plan while demonstrating fiscal restraint and responsible growth. The District will also implement initiatives that reinforce its commitment to continuous improvement.
