On October 12, Hillside Elementary, along with the Hastings Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, provided approximately 581 of the 20,000 people required to set a new Guinness World Record for the most kids doing jumping jacks for one minute!!
Having reviewed evidence from around the world, Guinness World Records confirmed that 300,265 people across the globe participated in the attempt, shattering the previous record!
This event was part of National Geographic Kids' and First Lady Michelle Obama's efforts to promote healthy lifestyles.
